My sister runs a busy pub here in Surrey. Between managing staff, stock, and customers, I watched her spend her rare hours off agonizing over how to reply to feedback. The "review anxiety" was real — that Sunday night dread of opening Google and finding a 1-star review waiting.

I am a PhD Researcher at Imperial College London. My day-to-day work is entirely about handling complex data, writing code, and building tools to make sense of chaos. I realised I could apply that exact same scientific rigor to solve a very human problem for my family. So I built Surrey Sentinel for her — a simple way to stay on top of reviews without the stress.

What started as a solution for one pub has grown into a dedicated platform helping hospitality businesses across Surrey. Hotels, restaurants, cafes—anyone tired of the review management grind. We give independent owners the exact same digital advantage that the big chains have, but with a personal touch.
